Following their triumphant campaign in New Zealand and an exhilarating Quad Series, the Australian Over 50's Cricket Team is now gearing up for their next challenge: a monumental tour of England Over 50s Cricket from the 14th June to 4th July 2024. With preparations well underway, anticipation is mounting as the team prepares to showcase their talent on the international stage once again.![]()

This tour, slated to encompass a series of high-profile encounters, marks another pivotal chapter in the journey of the Australian Over 50's Team. The tour itinerary features thrilling matchups against the esteemed County Over 50's Team, pitting experience against experience in what promises to be a battle of cricketing titans. Additionally, the team will partake in the prestigious Marlborough Festival, where they will lock horns with cricketing powerhouses England, Wales Over 50s Cricket, and Veterans Cricket India in a spirited quest for supremacy.![]()

The 10 game tour kicks off with an eagerly anticipated inaugural clash against Veterans Cricket Association of Ireland, marking the first encounter between the two countries, and is another step in the further development of the global competition. The touring party will also have the lifetime opportunity to partake in a captivating three-game Ashes series against current World Champions, England, igniting the age-old rivalry between the two cricketing nations. The tour will also feature two enthralling County matches against Essex and Sussex, adding another layer of excitement to an already action-packed itinerary.![]()

* Steve Mace (Australia) became the second batsman to score 1000 runs in O50Is. He now has exactly 1000 runs, at 71. 43.![]()

* Mace scored two consecutive 100s on the tour, and now has 5 at this level. No one else has more than 3. There have been 37 centuries scored in O50Is.![]()

* Parak Ananta (USA) became the first wicket-keeper to take 50 dismissals in O50Is. He now has 51, which is an amazing 20 more than the next man on the list (Wales Over 50s Cricket' Steve Powell). (Incidentally, the highest wicket-taker, Stephen Foster, has 45 wickets.)![]()

* Ananta also became the most-capped player in all O50Is, playing his 35th game on the tour. Next on the list is England's Sean Cooper (33), followed by 4 Welshmen.![]()

* After a great start to his international career on the tour, Australia's Andrew Kratzmann averages 91.00 with the bat, the highest average for anyone who has scored 200+ runs.![]()

* There have been 6 teams scores of 310 or more in O50Is. Australia scored 3 of these on this tour.![]()

* In the IMC Player Rankings, Mace moves up to 3rd place and Kratzmann shoots into the top 5. Foster remains at #1, a position he has held for almost all of the 6 years since the rankings began.![]()
